Education System

Trimester System

Trimester System regulates each academic year into 3 teaching terms, each of which consists
of 13 weeks. This allows students to efficiently spend their time on their studies and enables
cooperative education to be integrated in such a way that students can work at the firms’
factories or companies full-time with no interruption and thus gain more hands-on experience.

International Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education (Co-op) is a process of learning that formally integrates the student’s
academic study with work experience in Co-operative employer organizations. The Co-op
program helps students with the transition from academic studies to employment by placing
them in actual workplace situations. The International Co-op is a program that provides
SUT students with an opportunity to work abroad. Not only that, SUT also acts as a hub to
place students at companies in Thailand for students from other countries. Moreover, the
International Co-op program also provides opportunity chance for students to reinforce,
evaluate and develop their knowledge and skills through:
• Systematic exposure to differentworking environments, languages, culture and living
conditions thereby developing interpersonal skills and realistic career expectations.
• Experiencing on-site work practices that cannot be provided within the university.
• Development of critical thinking as a result of the observation, experience in the exercise
of judgment and decision-making.
With all the training and experiences received overseas, students can compete in today’s job
market domestically and internationally.
