BLACK SOLDIER FLY LARVAE FOR FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT AND COST OF LIVING REDUCTION" PROJECT

To reduce the cost of living for workers in the integrated waste management plant and to utilize food waste, the Black soldier fly project, which eliminates food waste and reduces the cost of living, was established. This project involves raising 31,200 kg/year of food waste collected from various buildings within the university and feeding black soldier fly larvae to 285 laying hens per year, which produce 255 eggs per year. This project reduces the cost of living and food for workers sorting waste in the integrated waste management plant by 1,275 baht/year and promotes group activities among workers working in the integrated waste management plant.
