Korat aims to become a carbon-neutral city! Join us in driving a green future at the Korat Carbon Neutrality Expo 2025.
June 11-12, 2025 Suranaree University of Technology, in collaboration with the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Nakhon Ratchasima Province, organized the "Korat Carbon Neutrality Expo 2025" at Terminal Hall, 4th floor, Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Center. Mr. Somkiat Wiriyakulnan, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, presided over the opening ceremony, and Assistant Professor Dr. Pantip Piyatasananon, Acting Director of Technopolis, delivered a welcoming speech. Distinguished guests from the public and private sectors, educational institutions, and the general public also attended.
The event included a ceremony to demonstrate the commitment to "Korat Toward a Low-Carbon City: Multi-Sectoral Synergy" and the "University Consortium for Carbon Neutrality in the Lower Northeastern Region." Special lectures on "A Decade of Adaptation: Developing Business Strategies for Net Zero," "Mars Petcare's Net Zero Operations and Regenerative Agriculture," and a panel discussion on "Government Projects for Carbon Neutrality in Korat and Thailand," "Khaoyai GSTC Moving to One Hunred Thirty," "Carbon Management Education Network," "Biochar Consortium: Biochar Network for Sustainable Development," and "Driving Green Logistics with Next-Generation Automotive Innovation," along with a musical performance "Green Harmony to Green City," and a student speech contest on carbon neutrality on the topic "Thai Youth in a Low-Carbon World." Or just change the world and change: Gen Z to Zero Carbon". There will also be an exhibition of green technology (Green Technology) from government agencies, private sectors, and environmental organizations, updating knowledge on Carbon and ways to reduce carbon emissions, Green Logistics zone and innovation for sustainability, booths selling environmentally friendly products and services, buying and selling clean energy and green technology, along with fun activities and receiving many souvenirs.
This event was organized to promote the development of Nakhon Ratchasima City towards becoming a sustainable "carbon neutral" city through raising awareness, transferring knowledge, and promoting environmentally friendly innovations.
