Surnanaree University has a chemical and biological wastewater treatment system where the chemical wastewater treatment system will treat the chemically contaminated wastewater from the laboratories from the Science and Technology buildings. The system can treat chemically contaminated wastewater at the volume of 560 m3/yr. The biological wastewater treatment system is used for treating the used water from office buildings and student dormitories. The system can treat 317,320 m3/yr. of biologically contaminated wastewater. Together the two systems can treat 317,880 m3 of wastewater per year which is 100% of all wastewater produced in the university. A 100% of the effluent discharged has been treated using standard quality system and the treated effluent will be sent to the recycling system for further process.
