Infectious Surgical Mask Treatment

    • Admin

During the COVID-19 outbreak, SUT located 8 disposal sites of toxic surgical masks and can gathered 120-kilogram masks/year for further disposal at SUT Infectious Waste Management Power Plant. The power plant applies Plasma Gasification technology which is based on the principle of releasing electricity to increase gaseous temperature. The high-temperature gas will have higher energy and some molecules will be split into high-temperature energy. The heat which can destroy toxic waste components will be used in combustion of waste with high physical and chemical variances and different components.
