Mini-EV charging station with fully off-grid solar system and energy storage, on campus of Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand
Small electric vehicle charging station with fully off-grid solar system and energy storage for mini EVs is installed at the parking area in front of the academic building 2. The highlight of this charging station is that it is a solar off-grid charging station. So there is no need to pay any electricity bills. Therefore, it can be installed in all areas, especially in remote locations or there is a distance that the government power system has not yet reached. The power of the solar cells is 4 kilowatts (kW), producing about 16 kilowatt hours (kWh) per day which can be used to charge 8-10 electric golf carts or motorcycles per day.
