SUT: Current collaborations with health institutions

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) prioritizes improving the health and well-being of its students, staff, and the surrounding community. From 2024-2025, it forged collaborations with local, national, and international healthcare institutions. This synergy aims to develop effective research, medical services, and health promotion initiatives. These collaborations foster the sharing of knowledge, technology, and innovations in healthcare, with the ultimate goal of sustainably improving the quality of life not only within the university community but also in wider society.

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) and Suranaree Military Hospital collaborate to continuously produce nursing graduates and develop the nursing profession.

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), through its School of Nursing, and the Royal Thai Army, through Suranaree Military Hospital, signed a memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation in the production of nursing graduates and the promotion of nursing professional development. The four-year cooperation agreement extends the collaboration that has been ongoing since the 2009 academic year, ensuring its continuity and sustainability.

In this regard, Associate Professor Dr. Anan Thongra-a, President of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), and Major General Narong Pakdeesuphaphol, Director of Suranaree Camp Hospital, signed the memorandum of understanding for cooperation. Associate Professor Dr. Srikiat Anantsawat, Dean; Assistant Professor Dr. Kochakorn Piasai, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; and Colonel Nitiwat Niwasabutr and Colonel Ratsan Phuwanathaworakit, Deputy Directors of Suranaree Camp Hospital, were present at the ceremony on July 1, 2025, at the Kaew Chao Chom Meeting Room, Suranaree Building, Suranaree Camp Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.


Event

The School of Nursing at Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has offered a Bachelor of Nursing Science program since the 2009 academic year, in continuous collaboration with Suranaree Military Camp Hospital. This partnership serves as a stakeholder in the employment of nursing graduates and encompasses curriculum development, nurse training and professional development, and practical training. SUT nursing students have been accepted to practice nursing in the hospital's wards since the 2009 academic year.
