SUT Sport and Health Center
This is a key location providing sports, exercise, and health services for students, staff, and the general public. Its objectives are to promote exercise and health, as well as to serve as a central hub for various sporting events within the university. Services available include free services, services requiring membership, and paid services as follows:
Free Services: Students, staff, their families, and retired personnel are automatically members of the sports and health facility and can use various sports facilities without membership or charge. These include badminton courts, tennis courts, football fields, petanque courts, volleyball courts, sepak takraw courts, squash courts, aerobics classes, yoga, ballroom dancing, spinning bikes, etc. For the fitness center, students and staff must pass a physical fitness test and complete exercise training before use.
The general public can use the synthetic rubber running track (Suraplak Athletic Stadium), squash court, aerobics, yoga, ballroom dancing, and spinning bikes free of charge. This is to share exercise facilities, resulting in improved physical and mental health through social interaction, ultimately leading to better academic, work, and personal life performance.
Services Requiring Membership Before Use The general public must register for membership to use the fitness center. Annual membership fees are 5,000 baht, or daily usage fees are 100 baht. The facility is open Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and as announced by the university. Services Requiring Membership and with Fees To promote exercise for students, staff, and the general public, fees are charged according to the university's announcement as follows: Swimming Pool Annual Membership Rates Students, staff, retired staff, and their families: 300 baht per year, plus a 20 baht per use coupon. SUT Alumni: 500 baht per year, plus a 30 baht per use coupon. General Public Annual membership fee: 1,000 baht per year. Pool access coupon: 40 baht per visit. Daily rates (Walk-in): Students, staff, retired staff, and families of Suranaree University of Technology (SUT): 40 baht per visit. External individuals with young children (under 15 years old): 60 baht per visit. SUT alumni and the general public: 80 baht per visit. Open Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday and on days announced by the university.
