Suranaree University of Technology joins in planting trees on National Science Day.
The School of Science, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), led by Professor Dr. Santi Mansiri, Dean of the School of Science, along with administrators, faculty, students, and staff from various agencies, participated in a tree-planting activity on National Science Day. The activity aims to increase green spaces within the university, promote environmental conservation, and foster sustainability awareness. The planting included yellow-flowered trees, including the Golden Shower Tree, the Golden Shower Tree, the Golden Shower Tree, the Golden Shower Tree, the Golden Shower Tree, and the Golden Shower Tree, among others. The event took place on August 18, 2025, at the SUT Science, Mathematics, and Innovation Learning Building.
The Science, Mathematics, and Innovation Learning Building, part of the Suranaree University of Technology Science, Mathematics, and Innovation Learning Park (SUT SMILe Park), spans approximately 600 square meters and over 16 rai. Designed around the concept of sustainable coexistence with nature, the building utilizes solar power, a water circulation system to maintain moisture, and walkways that blend in with the surrounding environment. It supports a variety of academic activities, including science camps, training programs for the Academic Olympiad and Science Standards Development Project (SST), lifelong skills development and learning activities, student experiential training, and experimental activities that integrate science, mathematics, and technology with environmental conservation.
