
Agricultural and Food Engineering students at Suranaree University of Technology are awesome! Won 6 awards from the international stage (ARC2024)
The team of lecturers and students of the Agricultural and Food Engineering Program, School of Engineering, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Thewarat Tri-Amnon, Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanwisak Taveechunsakul and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jenwit Wannpira, and 2 teams of students from the Agricultural and Food Engineering Program, participated in the 10th Southeast Asian Agricultural and Food Engineering Student Chapter Annual Regional Convention 2024 (ARC2024) at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia, from May 10-16, 2024. There were 53 student teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The SUT student team received the following awards:
1. Winner of the WASTE TO WEALTH INNOVATION FOR AGRICULTURAL STRUCTURALS activity from the “Smart Farm” model by the team of Ms. Phrutsapha Proykhuntot, Ms. Naphaphon Phonrat and Ms. Nisarat Sophat under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Thewarat Triamnakorn.
2. Gold Medal Award, Innovation Competition Young Agricultural & Food Engineers activity from the work titled “Energy-Efficient Mango Drying: A Step Towards Sustainable Agriculture” by the team of Ms. Phrutsapha Proykhuntot, Ms. Naphaphon Phonrat and Ms. Nisarat Sophat under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Thewarat Triamnakorn and Lecturer Dr. Jenwit Wanphira.
3. Industry Excellence Award 2024, Faculty of Agriculture (KADA) from the work “Energy-Efficient Mango Drying: A Step Towards Sustainable Agriculture” by the team of Ms. Phrutsapha Proykhuntot, Ms. Naphaphon Phonrat and Ms. Nisarat Sophat under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Thewarat Triamnakorn and Lecturer Dr. Jenwit Wanphira.
4. Bronze medal, Innovation Competition Young Agricultural & Food Engineers activity from the work “A study on controlling alcohol content in basil wine production by yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae using optical absorption technique” by the team of Ms. Nattakan Jindawan, Ms. Nattawipa Wilertham, Mr. Phatthathorn Khao-on under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanwisak Taweechunsakun.
5. Second place winner of Cultural Performance with the performance of Seang Krathip, which was performed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanwisak Thaweechuensakun, Ms. Phrutsapha Proykhuntot, Ms. Naphaphon Phonrat, Ms. Nisarat Sophat and Ms. Natthawipa Wilertrum, under the training supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Thewarat Triamnakorn.
6. Best Female Award, given to a female student with good interpersonal skills, Ms. Nattakan Jindawan
