Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) Policy on Campus

    Description:

The university has organized a campaign for staff and students to use bicycles and walkways as a way of getting around campus. The bikeways are designed as a place to relax and exercise. Bicycles are parked in various classroom buildings and recreational areas. The road is a shortcut to connect student dormitories and student affair services buildings where students can ride bicycles to classroom buildings. The campus also provides central bicycles for staff and students to borrow for free.

The 6-seat electric buses are used for coordination, employment checking jobs, and other jobs in travel between buildings. It is convenient to use to transfer VIP guests between buildings or or during exhibitions.

SUT has a solar-off-grid electric vehicle station to support use of electric vehicles in the campus area. At the station, solar energy is converted along with the use of an energy storage system without causing any electricity cost. This operation follows the Green and Clean University policy and is introduced for operation in the community and society to promote the use of clean energy for a better quality of life.
