Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) Hospital is situated nearby the SUT 2nd entrance gate in SUT campus having offered medical service as the medical and public health operation center since 2 July 2010. The hospital provides the public with outpatient service for both general disease treatment and emergency cases 24 hours a day.

This medical service can support the increasing number of patients from lower northeastern region, especially from Nakhon Ratchasima. Beside healthcare service, SUT Hospital has important mission to engage in producing medical graduates and become the learning institute of medical graduates and personnel of all levels. SUT Hospital also delivers study, research implementation, and increase of clinical learning experience to lecturers and students in medical science, nursing, public health, and other related fields. Apart from these, SUT Hospital supports hospitals in NakhonRatchasima and neighboring provinces in medical service provision. Construction of SUT Hospital is under process until all construction phases are completed.

The 1st construction phase is to build the outpatient treatment building for use as 24-hour medical service center providing treatment of general diseases and three-hour treatment of specific diseases. The outpatient treatment building also provides diagnostic radiology, dental care and surgery services. This phase includes construction of in-patient department building having 120 hospital beds in which some zones were inaugurated while some remains under construction. During the 2nd phase, SUT Hospital plans to build treatment building which has around 200-300 hospital beds, the medical excellence center which has minor surgery room, and have medical experts provide treatment services all day. In the 3rd phase, the SUT Hospital will provide full medical treatment service such as surgery, bone marrow transplantation, kidney transplantation, etc. and support over 500 admitted patients.

2. The Primary Care Unit of Suranaree University of Technology Hospital (PCU-SUTH)

Description:

The Primary Care Unit of Suranaree University of Technology Hospital (PCU-SUTH) is located near the SUT art and cultural space amidst the student dormitory and personnel residence zones which are the community area and more conveniently accessible. PCU-SUTH can also operate continual healthcare service covering 4 aspects which are health promotion, disease prevention, medical treatment, and health rehabilitation as well as become the training center for medical and health science students in the future. As for diagnosis of general diseases, SUT runs services of medical procedure, wound cleansing, vaccination, blood donation, request for medical certificate, and consultation of adolescent problems.

3. UT Hospital established the OPD clinic at the Mall Korat

Description:

SUT Hospital established the OPD clinic at the Mall Department Store offering annual medical check-up, medical treatment of general disease, specific disease clinic, and “Well Child clinic”. The clinic opens every day, even on public holidays, from 8.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m. with 2 standby surgeons and can support 150 non-admitted and social-welfare patients.
