Sewage Disposal

    Description:

    1. Chemical and biological wastewater treatment systems

The university has a chemical and biological wastewater treatment system, whereby the chemical wastewater treatment system treats wastewater from various laboratories of the Science and Technology Equipment Building, totalling 480 m3 per year. The biological wastewater treatment system treats wastewater from various parts of the building. The student dormitory building can treat biological wastewater totaling 270,565 m3/year (22,547 m3/month), accounting for 100% of the amount of wastewater generated. 100% of the water is passed on to the recycling system.

    2. Recycling System

The university has constructed a wastewater recycling system for use in the sanitary and sprinkler system for watering plants to address the shortage of raw water. The treated wastewater must be within normal standards. The project has been used to reduce water consumption by 19.54% by using modern toilet systems in 81 buildings, or 63% of the total buildings, and supplying recycled water for watering plants at all watering points.
