According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand’s announcement and the outbreak of the #Coronavirus (2019-nCoV). Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has issued an announcement to SUT community, students and personnel please strictly follow by the details below.
Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (2019-CoV), which originated in Wuhan city, People’s Republic of China causing sickness and death. This disease can be transmitted through breathing and secretions. There is clear evidence that there are infection patients traveled to Thailand.
Suranaree University of Technology is concerned about the situation, therefore, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to comply with the announcement of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation SUT shall proceed as follows:
#1. Chinese students and personnel at Suranaree University of Technology traveling to People’s Republic of China in the last two weeks (From 15 – 28 January 2020) and have not yet returned to Thailand, requesting to stay in the People’s Republic of China until a change is announced. The Center for International Affairs and relevant department shall contact those students and personnel to inform the schedule that is suitable for the situation.
#2. Avoid meeting with who has just returned from the People’s Republic of China to prevent the risk of infections for the meantime.
#3. Who has returned from People’s Republic of China from 15 January 2020 onwards, the person is requested to be absented from school and work for a period of 14 days after the return trip and must register the name, phone number and current address to the department in charge to monitor closely in case of infection by Suranaree University of Technology Hospital (SUTH) at phone 044 – 376555.
#4. Who has a fever or having the following symptoms: cough, runny nose, phlegm, sore throat, panting, or other respiratory symptoms should report to the initial supervisor and coordinate with SUTH to carry out supervision to the further infection.
#5. In the case who has traveling schedule to the People’s Republic of China is requested to suspend or postpone the trip and monitor the situation closely.
#6. Avoid crowded places, do not stay close to at-risk people or those with cough-sneezing. Should wear a mask when in the community. Wash your hands with clean water and soap or alcohol gel to wash hands.
#7. SUT will closely monitor the situation and may need to ask for cooperation from departments and students in the future to prevent the outbreak.

1. Stay home and forbid visitor
2. Wear surgical mask
3. Close toilet before flush
4. Cough and sneeze on tissue paper
5. Wash you hands with soap and alcohol gel 75%+
6. Open the window to ventilate the air
7. Avoid dining with others or share personal stuffs
8. Clean plates and stuffs before use
9. Keep distance from others for 2 meters
10. Avoid using public transportation if has to go out
